NEET2018: Medical Seat Blocking going to be tough from this year
As per the news published on TOI, a penalty up to Rs 2 lakhs will be charged on medical aspirants who are blocking seats for centralized NEET counselling. It is a penalty fee and this amount will not get refunded back. Even the candidates who are blocking seats for centralized NEET counselling even from participating in counselling further. The idea generates for reducing the vacancies which were created due to blocking of multiple seats by students. The ministry with the approval of MCI has proposed a ‘refundable ‘amount fee of 2 lakhs where it will be adjusted against the tuition fee if the student accepts the allotted seats. It is good to know that the fee of Government seats is for 25,000/- whereas fee of private or deemed colleges is Rs/-2 lakhs.
